Freelance writer, editor, researcher and sf/f author trying to make her way in the world.

That’s really the gist of it. When I’m not writing articles or driving myself crazy with yet another short story idea, I’m spending time with my husband, our daughter, and two cats.

  1. Brenda,

Thought I’d drop you a few lines, even if the WP network already notified you I quoted from your July 1st Daring Dolphin post on my Ecosonance posts/blogs July list.

What you wrote and how you write&think about dolphins really “touched my heart”. THANK you for the trip back to carefree childhood!

Also, I am commenting on this page specifically because what little I read on digitalinkwell, including the BP-dolphins post, speaks of sincerity and values I consider very important to keep.

So, wishes for a fulfilling career as a writer-editor-researcher… and around-the-clock discoverer of many good things in you dreams, as wel; as in your actual career and personal life.

    Glad you resumed blogging–

    • Wow, thank you so much for the kind feedback, Lynne. To know my words touched you is the biggest honor a writer can receive. I will continue blogging and hopefully this rocky writing path will continue to provide a community for my little ‘ol ideas. =)

Thank you again. You made my day!

  2. Brenda,

You’ve got an outrageous amount of talent, between the poetic prose in your fiction — with words so well chosen they dance and wind about the mind, perfect for reading aloud, with the complex, subtly fused layers of a fine Indian curry — and by contrast, the easy, friendly style of your SEO work. I just read Barrow on the Flashes in the Dark, and “evocative” or “brilliant” doesn’t suffice.

You’ve got the touch, or “some _serious_ chops”, as I mentioned to S.S. Keep dipping the quill; you’ve got another fan.

    • Wow, thank you so much, Mare! Your comments brought the biggest smile to my face, I can’t even begin to tell you. Whenever I want to give up on my fiction work because it’s such a slow path, a comment like yours comes along and encourages me to push forward. Thank you so much!
